DR AMR HELEL SHOWCASES A NEW INVENTION THAT COULD HELP PREVENT COVID 19

Healthtech egypt is the Winner of the “gold and silver” exhibition: Providing treatments for “dwarfism, Alzheimer’s and malnutrition”

Research Projects

Dr. Amr Helal, director of Healthtech EG – one of the top companies concerned with how to optimally use some agricultural residues that have a pharmaceutical value, said that he has demonstrated, through his latest invention, the benefits of rice bran in the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease, which is what called on the German Ministry of Economy to Preparing a project worth one million euros to use bran as food for the elderly, to prevent disease.

Dr.. Amr Helal: 20% of the rate of stunting and anemia in Egypt He stressed, during his interview with Al-Watan, that Egypt is experiencing the brightest periods of revival in scientific research, especially for young researchers.. To the text of the dialogue: How did the idea for the invention come about? – We discovered that the rate of stunting and anemia in Egypt reaches more than 20%, and stunting does not mean only short stature, but rather less health, and less ability to achieve academic achievement and career development, and this is due to poor nutrition of vitamins and minerals required for the body, and nearly a quarter of the Egyptian population, They are the real labor force, complaining of weakness, and this imbalance needs to be addressed in order for the state to rise. When did the steps to implement it start? – In order to combat stunting, a clear program had to be developed, and we started it 3 years ago in cooperation with the National Institute of Nutrition, with funding from the “Misr El Khair Fund” and another from the Academy of Scientific Research through the Agro-Food Industries Alliance. The innovation was based on adding minerals and vitamins in specific proportions to benefit children from The age of 2 to 4 years, and from 5 to 11 years of age, each age needs certain proportions calculated accurately according to the standard required by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.

Biscuits or “Bon Bonnet” for children, so that each age takes its appropriate dose. I believe that the reason for the award is due to the fact that the project was not limited to children only, but also included the future mother to marry, before pregnancy and during breastfeeding, and every period she needs food designated for her, the more the mother is rich in vitamins and minerals, the children are born healthy, and the program combats diseases greatly. The project came 3 years ago by adding minerals and vitamins in specific proportions to children’s “biscuit”… and the treatment benefits those who are planning to marry and the pregnant woman
